Our school has chosen Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised as our systematic, synthetic phonics (SSP) programme to teach reading and spelling. We use the Rapid 7+ Phonics Programme designed specifically for pupils in Year 3 and above \u2014 a careful bridge between reading at infant school and junior school.<\/p> <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\n\n

Phonics teaching is matched to each child\u2019s assessed need, with daily catch-up sessions where required. Books are carefully matched so children can practise newly taught sounds and grow in fluency every week.<\/p>
