Welcome to our Rapid 7+ phonics and reading page — supporting every child to read with confidence and joy.
Our school has chosen Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised as our systematic, synthetic phonics (SSP) programme to teach reading and spelling. We use the Rapid 7+ Phonics Programme designed specifically for pupils in Year 3 and above — a careful bridge between reading at infant school and junior school.

Strong readers, confident learners
Phonics teaching is matched to each child’s assessed need, with daily catch-up sessions where required. Books are carefully matched so children can practise newly taught sounds and grow in fluency every week.
